About us
The philosophy of traditional Chinese Medicine is based on the theory of balance within the body, mind, and spirit. We start by nourishing the spirit “YANG SHENG”. The principles of yang sheng are:

Live in harmony with the laws of nature
Develop mindfulness through cultivating a calm and serene state of mind
Care for your body through proper nourishment, rest, relaxation and daily exercise

Amy graduated from a five year doctoral program at the Toronto School of Traditional Chinese Medicine, with an advanced Doctoral diploma in 2003. She has been practising in the KW area for over 20 years and has a passion for life, love and happiness. Since graduating Amy has continued her studies in various parts of Asia including Beijing, Cheng Du, Xi An, Shanghai, Tibet, Taiwan and parts of Japan. She is a member of the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario (CTCMPAO). Currently, Amy is the Professional Practice Advisor for the CTCMPAO, she has been a long standing member of the Canadian Society of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture and TCMO. Her career spans over two decades and has won many awards for serving her community as well has her profession. Amy is a frequent contributor to a local radio show KW News Magazine 98.5 FM and is a guest lecturer at many Universities including; McMaster and University of Waterloo. Amy uses several modalities pertaining to natural medicine and acupuncture, including private yoga and qigong classes from treating pain to childhood illnesses, with a special interest in fertility enhancement and pregnancy support. The practitioners of Pink Lotus Medical Acupuncture Clinic hold the principles of “Yang Sheng” in high regard, in order to govern the main principles of being human and a responsible member of the planet: Respecting each other, honouring our mother earth, and nurturing our bodies.
